Free Health Screening Camp Benefits Over 500 Residents

June 24th ,2026Community & CSR

Event Overview

On June 5, 2026, our pharmacy team set up a free health screening camp at Lincoln Park Community Center. The event ran from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM and was open to all residents, regardless of insurance status or age.

Services Provided

  • Blood Pressure Screening: 487 residents had their blood pressure checked. Of these, 62 were identified with elevated readings and referred to local clinics for follow-up.

  • Blood Glucose Testing: 412 residents received fasting and random glucose tests. Our pharmacists counseled 28 individuals with pre-diabetic readings on lifestyle modifications.

  • Cholesterol Panel: 210 residents opted for a full lipid panel, with results explained on the spot by our clinical pharmacists.

  • Medication Review: 95 seniors brought their prescription medications for a comprehensive review. Our team identified 14 potential drug interactions and contacted the prescribing physicians for clarification.

  • Health Education: Short talks on hypertension management, diabetes prevention, and heart-healthy diets were delivered in English and Spanish throughout the day.

Community Feedback

"I haven't had my blood pressure checked in two years because I don't have insurance," said Maria Gonzalez, a local resident. "The pharmacist explained everything clearly and even helped me find a low-cost clinic nearby. I am so grateful."

Looking Ahead

Due to the overwhelming response, we plan to host these free screening camps quarterly. The next event is scheduled for September 2026. Follow our website or social media for updates on upcoming community health events.

Our community health initiatives are part of our commitment to making healthcare accessible to everyone. No appointments were required, and all services were provided free of charge.
